One-Bowl Vanilla Cake

A tried & true recipe for when you need cake ASAP

Ingredients 

  • 2 1/2 cups (300 g) AP flour or cake flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 2/3 cups (333 g) sugar 
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted 
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 
  • 2 1/4 cups milk 
  • 3 eggs

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F & grease an 8” cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, & sugar.
  3. Mix in melted butter, vanilla, & milk until evenly combined.
  4. Mix in eggs until evenly combined.
  5. Pour batter into pan, then bake for 40-45 mins, or until the top is domed  & springs back after poking & the sides of the cake start to pull away from the pan. Then, let cool & frost/fill however you desire!!
