A tried & true recipe for when you need cake ASAP
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups (300 g) AP flour or cake flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 2/3 cups (333 g) sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups milk
- 3 eggs
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F & grease an 8” cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, & sugar.
- Mix in melted butter, vanilla, & milk until evenly combined.
- Mix in eggs until evenly combined.
- Pour batter into pan, then bake for 40-45 mins, or until the top is domed & springs back after poking & the sides of the cake start to pull away from the pan. Then, let cool & frost/fill however you desire!!
