Packed with protein, unsaturated fats, and antioxidants for heart and brain health!
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 of an onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 2 avocados
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- Black pepper
- Hamburger buns
- Chopped scallions
- Tomatoes
Directions:
- In a large skillet over medium high heat, heat the olive oil until sizzling.
- Then, add onions and garlic and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Then, add ground turkey, break it up in the pan and cook until fully opaque in color. Then, take off the heat and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a blender or food processor, blend together avocado, parsley, basil, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Mix the avocado mixture into the cooked ground turkey until everything is evenly combined. Then, serve on bread, top with scallions, tomato, cheese, and enjoy!
